July 2025
We based our prayers around this scripture form Romans 8. We prayed for what we didn’t have and what we couldn’t get by our own means. Only God can provide these things.
Rom 8: 24-25
24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
What are the things that we don’t have but would like to see?
Which of these are things that we cannot obtain for ourselves by our own efforts?
Here are a few suggestions (in no particular order)
- Weight bearing adults who have capacity to be involved
- Younger men who can be trained to become future elders
- Families with children (saved or not yet saved)
- Young people and young adults
- Musicians with a potential to lead worship or support others to do so
- Those with a heart to be youth and children’s workers
- The last salvation station before Hell for the elderly
- A hall filled to capacity on a Sunday.
- The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our midst
- Healing
- Joy
- Boldness
- Evidence of the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- Increased works with the poor both in the number of lives helped but also in increased Gospel effectiveness
These are the things we prayed for and wait expectantly for God to answer.
