On Sunday, we had a beautiful, quiet time waiting on God and a number of people felt the Lord put something on their heart to share with everyone. Take a moment to read through these, brought for the benefit of the church, and ask God if He is speaking to you, giving you encouragement for a particular situation.
Picture given to Bev –
A picture of a very dusty unmade road, stretching as far as the eye could see. On the surface of the road were the leaves of palm trees, and as the road surface was white and dusty, the leaves were fresh, verdant green, smelling sweetly. I then heard the words – Come, and follow me. take up my yoke, dance and find freedom in my joy. Follow Me, even though you can’t see where the road will take us. There is new life for all who Follow Me.
Picture given to Jean –
A car winding round hairpin bends with danger on each side. She is the passenger and the driver is God. He is the One who takes care of all things when you ride with Him.
Picture given to Mo –
A garden, and specifically the top of a large seed head with a colourful sunset behind it. I was reminded that sometimes things feel really hard and difficult; but there was beauty in these surroundings; even with the season being autumn into winter. The Lord God was there, even in the cold, and the seed heads would give way to new growth in the spring. Do not be afraid of the seasons; God knows and is with us.
Word given to a visitor –
There will be a great healing take place; it will be deep and whole, and there will be deep pain in this healing, but it will happen.
Feeling given to Lin –
God put something in my hands – a weight or presence – and He put a smile on my face. Reassurance and encouragement about something He is doing in someone’s life.
Picture given to Tony –
A jigsaw puzzle with no guide picture. It takes time to complete a jigsaw – patience and perseverance. It also brings about moments of joy as small sections come together and you can identify and understand small glimpses of beauty, but also frustration when the right pieces cannot be found. The puzzle will only be completed when Jesus comes again, for He is the piece at the very centre of the picture.
God loves to communicate with His people. We praise and thank our heavenly Father.
